I was moved by majestic nature when I arrived at Australia. The sea was so beautiful, and some parts of it were not blue, but green. The beach was also splendid and crowded with cheerful people. Everything in Australia was big. For example, big houses, big cars, big foods, big trees, big leaves, big birds and of course people with big hearts. While I was staying in Australia I met many warmhearted people. So I had a lovely time with them.

One day I went shopping with my host mother, and when I went to buy some pretty things in a big shop, I couldn't find my wallet. We were all surprised. My host mother and the staff called the restaurant where we were earlier. To my surprise, 3 minutes later I found my wallet in my other bag. I was happy to see my wallet again. How foolish I am! I then apologized for my fault. But they just said: "Don't worry about it. It's not your fault. Enjoy your stay!" They were so sweet, that I couldn't say anything.

This was my first impressive event in Australia.

It was the second day of my stay. At a party, I met a little girl, her name was Amber. She told me many things about Australia. For example, the school life of Australian students. Then I told her what the school lie is like in Japan. I was very happy to talk with different people. They were so cool and all were kind to me.

On the last day of my stay, my host father, mother, and their two children and I decided to take a walk on a mountain. Then I found out that the Cairns city at night was also marvelous. From the mountain I could see so many stars shining in the sky. My host father said to me: "Can you see the southern cross? That way is south Australia is big and, if one day, you come back to Australia and, can't find our home, I hope this will help you to find the way back. We would be pleased to have you stay with us when ever you wanted." I was shocked by his words. I felt I was member of the family. I promised I'd go and visit them again.

When I returned to Japan, I got a letter from my host mother. She says that they miss me already. The baby couldn't understand why I couldn't stay with them forever. I'm still using the present they gave me. They remind me of the charming smiles of my host family. And it can give me energy.

Through this trip I learned a lot of about Australia. I'm so glad to have met many people with wide and warm hearts in such a big country. I'll never forget them and valuable memories in Australia.
